BPP WELCOMES KEN FROST PLANT PATHOLOGIST

Ken comes to us from the Department of Plant Pathology, University Wisconsin, Madison where his research has focused on disease and pest management in fresh-market and processing vegetable production, including web based decision support tools. He has also worked on the epidemiology of late blight caused by Phytophthora infestans, the epidemiology of aster yellows a disease caused by a leafhopper-transmitted phytoplasma affecting vegetable crops, as well as the impact of neonicotinoid insecticides on crop yield.

We welcome Ken to the department, and wish him well as he embarks on his career in Oregon.
