Max Combest (2020 BPP Master student graduate in Aymeric Goyer lab, in collaboration with Jeff Anderson at OSU and Kiwamu Tanaka at Washington State University) is lead author on a new paper in the Journal of Experimental Botany, currently viewable as “Advance articles”.
In this study, the authors demonstrate the role of StPIP1, a gene encoding a predicted small secreted peptide in potato, in the plant anti-viral immunity against potato virus Y, and show that it has a role in the determination of tolerance versus sensitivity.
