Chelsea Newbold, a M.S. student with Walt Mahaffee, received the Regional Prize for the Western Region for the Master's program of the Accelerating a Generation Scholarship Student Video Contest. Chelsea is working on understanding the fitness cost of the G143A mutation in the cytochrome b gene of Erysiphe necator. They plan to continue onto a PhD and later work in extension. Congrats Chelsea!
