Jessie Zimmerman

Jessie Zimmerman is a Masters student in the Achala KC and Busby Labs, studying the microbiome of grapevine trunks. He studied Ecology, Evolution, and Organismal Biology at Western Washington University and earned a post-baccalaureate degree in Botany at Oregon State University, and is broadly interested in plant microbiome interactions. Through his research of the grapevine microbiome, he hopes to better understand grapevine trunk diseases as members of a larger fungal community, and apply that knowledge to management practices.
