Override Requests

• Botany Overrides

To request an override on a BOT course, please submit using this form:

BOT Course Override Request Form

• All override requests must be approved by course instructor. Course enrollment may be limited by laboratory space or other capacity restrictions. Unrecognized transfer biology series may require a prerequisite override.
• Submitting an override request does not guarantee approval. Requests may take up to 3-5 business days to process. Students will be notified via email when the request has been processed and, if approved, they may then register.
• Please submit all override requests using the Botany Override Request Form. All other inquires can be sent to Botany.Advising@oregonstate.edu  
• Non-Botany Overrides
  • BB – Biochemistry & Biophysics override request form
  • BI/Z - Biology/Zoology override request form
    • For prerequisite overrides based on transfer coursework or test scores
    • For other biology/zoology course issues or overrides email ib@oregonstate.edu
  • CH – Chemistry override request form

  • FE, FES, FOR, NR, TRAL, WSE – Forestry override request form

    • Refer to the OSU “Scheduling Contacts” list for the departmental contact for course override requests: https://registrar.oregonstate.edu/scheduling-contacts. In your email include:
      • OSU student ID number
      • Full name
      • Course subject and number (ex. WR 222)
      • CRN and any additional CRNs (for a connected lab or recitation)
      • Why the override is needed
